This report covers the discussion and recommendations from an Open Space conference. The event was attended by groups supporting people into work, employers, those in low-paid work, local authorities, colleges, skills bodies, trade unions, funders/commissioners, policy makers and academics

The key themes of the recommendations are:

  • A more streamlined approach is required so that the divisions between unemployed and employed are not so stark
  • Targeted advice is needed
  • Employers need to be encouraged to take on this agenda

The event was organised by Trust for London, the Walcot Foundation, Centre for Economic & Social Inclusion, LVSC and Timewise Foundation.
